PoK: Women health workers hold sit-in as govt terminates them without notice, watch!

Women health workers in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir took to the streets against the local administration and Pakistan government for what they called an arbitrary decision of the authorities to terminate them. They gathered in front of the Maternal Newborn and Child Health Program’s (MNCH) offices and demanded authorities roll back their decisions. Earlier, in an unprecedented midnight decision, the government laid off around 300 women health workers without notifying them. The health workers complained they were already underpaid and authorities withheld their salaries for the last six months. (ANI)
