The “potential for microbial contamination, including the organism Cronobacter sakazakii” prompted the recall of 53 protein drinks or nutritional drinks manufactured by Lyons Magnus and sold under 12 different brand names.
The recall notice written by Lyons and released by the FDA also said: “Preliminary root cause analysis shows that the products did not meet commercial specifications for sterility.”
The withdrawal notice includes a table with exact varieties, batch numbers and due dates involved. The brands involved are:
