Thrissur: Pulsar Suni, the main defendant in the 2017 actress assault case, was transferred to the Government Mental Health Center in Thrissur on Tuesday from the Ernakulam sub-prison.
Hospital authorities said he was taken for treatment at the center.
On February 23, 2017, Pulsar Suni was arrested by the police in connection with assaulting an actress in Kochi. She had recently approached the Supreme Court for bail after spending five years behind bars citing health problems. However, the court rejected this statement on July 13.
