Rebel Wilson Says This Exercise Helped Her Lose Weight and Get Healthier

Rebel Wilson, 41, embarked on her self-proclaimed “year of health” in 2020, and it looks like she hasn’t slowed down one bit. In the premiere of the third season of Apple Fitness+ time to walk On Apple Watch, Wilson leads listeners on a 32-minute walk through Griffith Park in Los Angeles. In the episode, he talks about his weight loss process. She says, “My goal was just to get healthier and lose body fat that my body didn’t really need or want… Deep down I knew I wasn’t the healthiest version of myself.”

In 2020, Wilson attended a wellness retreat in Austria (possibly as part of her mayr method diet Program). She says: “An Austrian doctor said, ‘Rebel, the best way to lose unwanted body fat is just to walk. It doesn’t have to be high intensity, it doesn’t have to be uphill, just walk moderately one hour a day. Instead of overcomplicating her exercise routine, she decided to implement the doctor’s advice. She says, “I worked out in the gym, you know, even when I was at my best, I really liked it and I did weights and I did things where you feel absolutely exhausted afterwards, and I really didn’t need to be doing that.” So she decided to give herself a little grace and try to move her body in a more gentle way.

“It just made me think, ‘Okay, I should take it a little slower, and just do it carefully and do it lightly.'” So in 2020 I lost weight, but very, very gradually. Sometimes I improved things with some training and I tried very hard. But most of the year’s work was just doing things like walking for an hour,” she says.
