From child star to beyond. aaron carter Had treated its fair share of ups and downs through the years.
“I learned that there is a very valuable lesson in growing up as a young star and then about to come out the other side,” the “I Want Candy” singer said exclusively us weekly in april 2017 from when he started acting at the age of 7. “People get lost, but I found a little formula. It’s hard work, dedication, listening to people and having an open mind and being open to learning – being humble is important. When you start so young, you lose sight of what reality is and it becomes your normality.”
The Floridian Native rose to fame in the early 2000sserving as the opening act for Big Brother Nick Carter‘s The Backstreet Boys band. Aaron soon became a musical success of his own, releasing the singles “Oh, Aaron”, “Not Too Young, Not Too Old”, and “That’s How I Beat Shaq”. After several successful records, the dancing with the stars alum finally took a 15-year hiatus from releasing albums.
like the afternoon Carter’s House alum grew up, he struggled with alcohol and drug addictionas well as mental health challenges.
“I thought I would die at 30”, Aaron reminded to U.S in december 2017shortly after his 30th birthday. “Even when I was 13, 14, I was like, ‘Oh my God. I’m going to die.’ Life was pretty tough. I dealt with a lot of trauma, a lot of loss, a lot of loneliness. I felt like I needed to escape.”
While Aaron remained focused on his sobriety, he went on to welcome their first childson Prince, in November 2021 with his then-fiancée Melanie Martin.
“It is a beautiful blessing because I have had many relationships and started [to] about [give] up in love She was talking about having a family years ago,” Aaron, who split from Martin in February 2022. saying U.S a month after Prince’s arrival. “ME [wanted] being at home and enjoying the love of my life and my son. Now that he’s here, it’s like an epiphany. Every minute now has become so precious and every bit of time that slips away now… [really] I changed my thinking gears. I’ve given a lot of people second and third chances, as you can see with us and the things we’ve been through.”
U.S confirmed in November 2022 that Aaron had died at the age of 34. when he was found unconscious in his California home.
“My baby. I can’t breathe”, Martin captioned an Instagram Story tribute at the time.
