Ringworm Symptoms: Ringworm occurs due to infection in the skin. Some people believe that ringworm is caused due to ‘bad karma’ or ‘black magic’. In fact, Shingles is a viral infection and is curable if treated at the right time. Anyone who has had chickenpox can be vulnerable to herpes infection. It is important to raise awareness about this condition. Shingles is caused by the same virus that causes chickenpox. This virus, known as varicella zoster virus, remains in the veins of the body after an attack of chickenpox. When the immunity of the body decreases, then this virus can become active again and cause herpes.
Because of this herpes spreads in the body
The common symptoms of ringworm are rash and itching in them, as well as it spreads. As we age, our immunity also decreases and this process usually starts at the age of 50 years. More and more people live beyond the age of 50. These people have less immunity and they are more prone to ringworm. An increase in herpes cases has been observed after the COVID-19 pandemic, this may be because COVID-19 has reduced the immunity of the patients. Also, people who are suffering from conditions like diabetes, HIV, cancer, those patients are more prone to ringworm due to low immunity.
Shingles Cases Rise After COVID-19 Pandemic
Shingles patients have to take many medicines for pain, but they do not get complete relief. The first sign of this is any place on the body turning into a patch of a circle. There are small pimples in this patch, in which there is itching. Sometimes it is so itchy that it cannot be tolerated. The sooner it is treated, the better. This disease is often spread through skin-to-skin contact. There are some anti-viral medicines available which can reduce the pain of the rash, but if the shingles is spreading more then contact your doctor immediately.
