Roche Pharma sets up data analytics center in Hyderabad, second in India – ET HealthWorld


Hyderabad, Oct 17 (PTI) With the aim of providing innovative data driven solutions, Roche Pharma Established a state-of-the-art Global Analytics and Technology Center of Excellence (Gate) here, which will be the second such center in India. According to an official release, the center will work with global partners Roche To advance knowledge and understanding of the healthcare space, which helps improve customer engagement, patient experience and business outcomes.

With the latest expansion, GATE will have a total strength of 100 by the end of 2022 and has plans to expand, he said.

The announcement was made after Telangana’s IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao met Roche Pharma Managing Director and CEO V Simpson Emmanuel.

Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce and Shakti M Nagappan, Director Life SciencesTelangana was also present during the meeting.

Rama Rao met Roche Chairman Christoph Franz during the World Economic Forum in 2020 and earlier this year in May and presented about Hyderabad’s vibrant ecosystem.

Headquartered in Basel, Switzerland, Roche is the world’s largest biotech company, with truly differentiated medicines in oncology, immunology, infectious diseases, ophthalmology and central nervous system diseases.

Rama Rao said “I am delighted to welcome Roche Pharma to Hyderabad as they join the long list of marquee global companies that have chosen Hyderabad to set up their global capability centres.”

Emmanuel said, “India has always been a global leader when it comes to IT, analytics and data science. Roshan is proud to partner and leverage on India’s technology leadership by expanding GATE’s operations. We are developing capabilities related to data science and advanced analytics. .our GATE center in Hyderabad and will expand our offerings to include forecasting, data management, DevOps etc in the future.”

Centers like GATE will also benefit the country by building a knowledge base in the rapidly emerging fields of data science, artificial intelligence and machine learning, he added. PTI GDK KH KH
