The 58-year-old also explained that the transition has left her feeling “more confident” than she was 20 years ago.

The star explained that due to her previous breast cancer, HRT was not a recommended option for her, so natural methods were a must to tackle menopause.
‘Exercise has really helped with menopause. Because I had estrogen-fed breast cancer and am taking a preventative drug called tamoxifen, which I will take as long as I can, I was advised not to take HRT.

“So I had to find other ways to deal with the symptoms of menopause. Running and swimming in particular have been great,’ she shared.
Sally is taking the preventive medication after battling breast cancer in 2010 and has now made a full recovery.
But natural remedies seem to be working wonders, as the star says hitting menopause and appearing on Dancing on Ice earlier in the year has given her a new lease on life.
She shared: ‘I feel more confident in myself than I did 10 or even 20 years ago. Reaching menopause has not made me want to retire, quite the opposite!
“As you get older, you can lose confidence because you start to feel a little invisible, but dancing on ice reaffirmed what I should have been feeling all along: Getting older doesn’t mean I have to lose my spark. I hope I have inspired other women my age to try new things too.’

The actress has played Sally Webster on Coronation Street for some three decades and admitted that while she loves it, it can be tough being a working mom.
The mother of three explained the importance of ‘striking a balance’ between work and parenting.
And despite feeling guilty about missing a school play, she shared that kids Phoebe and Sam are ‘so proud’ of her that they didn’t feel any absence.
And the hard work even seems to have rubbed off on Phoebe, who recently rose to fame playing the character of Daphne on the period drama Bridgerton.
