Shawn Mendes believes mental health break was needed to grasp ‘how beautiful it is’ to be a singer

Back in July shawn mendes revealed in an emotional Instagram post how she had to cancel the rest of her Wonder World tour this summer to focus on her mental health: “After speaking with my team and working with an amazing group of healthcare professionals, it has become more clear that I need to take time that I never took personally, ground myself and come back stronger.”

Now, Shawn Mendes is making his long-awaited return to the spotlight with promotions for his upcoming film Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile. The live-action/animated musical comedy film also marks the first time Mendes Army will hear Shawn’s sweet voice announcing his break. Speaking to Entertainment tonight, the Mercy singer spoke candidly about his mental health, how he’s doingand getting back into the action, especially with the soon to be released Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile: “It feels amazing. It doesn’t feel like such high pressure. I think it’s always a process.”

“I think I needed some time to ground myself and spend time with my family and friends and get a perspective of how beautiful it is what I can do for a living,” Shawn Mendes confessed. In the aforementioned Instagram post, Mendes had assured fans that he will continue to make new music and has tours in mind, in the future

Meanwhile, Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile opens in India on November 4, and joining Shawn Mendes in the star-studded cast also includes Javier Bardem and Constance Wu.
