It seems that another scandal has rocked Bollywood. It was Sunday night when the Bangalore police stopped by Shraddha Kapoor brother Siddhanth Kapoor at a city party along with 4 other people for alleged illicit drug use. Acting on a tip, the police raided a hotel on MG Road which was the venue for the party and Siddhanth was the disc jockey at the party.
Police authorities reportedly stated that they had seven MDMA tablets and some marijuana that were found in the dumpster. Police Deputy Commissioner (East) Bheemashankar S Guled stated that the 37-year-old Indian actor and assistant director He tested positive for banned drugs.
The poisonous culture of illicit party drugs
While the incident is being investigated, the element of concern continues to be the presence of drugs at said parties. Whether it’s marijuana or ecstasy, young adults and even teens are exposed to synthetic drugs at nightclubs. However, most seem to be misinformed about the physical and mental impact of these drugs on their body. From a growing addiction to long-term psychological damage, read on to discover the lasting effects of trying party drugs.
How synthetic drugs affect the brain
Whether it’s MDMA or LSD, these pills negatively influence the chemical balance of the brain by affecting the serotonin pathways. For the uninitiated, serotonin affects the way our neurons communicate and affects your mood, hunger pangs, emotions, and the way you sleep. It also affects your memory, so when party drugs influence serotonin pathways, it changes the way you eat, sleep, and even your memories, among other things.
How it affects your mental health
Long-term use of party drugs can be called substance abuse. And if you’re prone to this habit, over time it can deplete your brain of chemicals critical for normal function. But even in the short term you can experience anxiety, feelings of depression and insomnia
You can almost always expect these problems to get worse as time goes on. Therefore, the only way to eradicate the problem is to quit smoking cold turkey. If you have become addicted to party drugs, talk to a mental health or medical professional who can refer you to an addiction counseling to help you kick the habit.
