Here are some common signs of an unhealthy bowel:

Bad breath: Intestinal imbalance is a type of H. pylori infection. Pylori allows bacteria to live in your GI tract. These bacteria are at the root of many stomach ulcers and bad breath.
Breakouts and skin irritation: An unbalanced microbiome increases the sensitivity of your skin and increases its risk of problems such as eczema, skin inflammation, acne and psoriasis.
Sleep disturbances: Unhealthy bowels can contribute to sleep disturbances such as insomnia or poor sleep, and therefore lead to chronic fatigue. Serotonin, a hormone that affects mood and sleep, is produced in the gut, so damage to the gut impairs the ability to sleep well.
