1. It is considered better to use sanitary napkins or tampons during periods. Because they are ‘easy to use’ and best for vaginal skin. Many women have heavy blood flow during periods, due to which they have to face the problem of leakage and stains on clothes. To avoid this problem, carry an extra pad in your bag.    

2. Wash the vagina with lukewarm water during periods for vaginal hygiene. Do not forget to change the tampon or pad after every four hours. Always keep extra pads with you if you are going out somewhere. Even if your date is nearing, keep a pad in your bag beforehand.

3. Try to wear comfortable cotton underwear during periods. Along with this, choose clothes according to your comfort level. If you feel that you will not be able to handle tight clothes during this time, then choose loose clothes. 
  
4. Keep yourself hydrated. Drink a good amount of water. If your period causes your belly to swell, water will help you feel better and prevent bloating.
