Stitch for mental wellbeing

AN ORMSGILL community group is hosting a creative wellness course.

Stitch for Wellbeing: Basic Mending is a six-week course to help people focus on their mental wellbeing.

A spokeswoman for Ormsgill Stronger Together said: “This is a six-week course, building on the five steps to wellness, repairing and decorating your items to give them a new lease on life.

“The focus will be on fixing or changing the function of an item. The course takes place in a welcoming and bonding environment, with a focus on mental well-being and inclusion.”

Those who want to get involved must have a willingness to participate in the learning and any old or unwanted cloth items or clothing to work with.

Anyone who wants to get involved should contact Ormsgill Stronger Together.

They can be contacted through the Ormsgill Stronger Together Facebook page or via email: [email protected]
