Bengaluru: Scan and share services for OPD registered started by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) has reached a high mark with more than 27,11,365 tokens issued across the country in different states.

Karnataka has secured the second position with a chip count that is over 7 lakhs. Among all the districts, Bengaluru Urban has taken the lead in issuing more tokens. The Commissioner of Department of Health and Family Welfare (HFW), Randeep D was later thanked by the National Health Authority, Government of India for achieving this new record. In the letter from Dr. Basant Garg, Additional CEO, he said that Karnataka has become the leader of the country in generating the most tokens – more than 7 lakh till date.

It is laudable that these tokens are generated at facilities across the state. “Such an achievement can only be achieved by a dedicated and passionate team led by a good leader. Praise also goes to proper planning, fast execution and regular management of progress in this regard,” Dr. Garg said in the letter.

Under Karnataka, Bengaluru Urban leads with 2,06,649 tokens issued, followed by Ballari with 64,128 tokens and Bengaluru Rural has 44,389 tokens issued to date. Hospitals provide their unique QR codes in patient registration areas for convenient and efficient registration. Patients have the option of using various health apps such as ABHA App, Aarogya Setu to scan the QR code. Thereafter, they can easily share their ABHA profile, which includes information such as their name, age, gender, and ABHA number, with hospital staff. Health Management Information System (HMIS).
