On this week’s Trade To Black podcast, TDR founder Shadd Dales talks with leading financial writer Benjamin A. With Bloomberg reporting that he Law of Opportunities and Cannabis Administration will be presented next week, and netflix docuseries How to change your mind gaining significant attention, there was a lot to talk about.
As reported by Bloomberg, Senate Democrats plan to introduce a comprehensive will decriminalizing cannabis at the federal level. the Law of Opportunities and Cannabis Administrationotherwise known as CAOAit will finally be formally presented in just over a year. after being preview by Co-Principal Sponsor Chuck Schumer in July 2021.
Although the legislation has little chance of passing, it is what comes next that Benjamin A. Smith is tracking the most. He believes SAFE Banking could see its best chance to date, if Senate Democrats settle for a deal if CAOA doesn’t gain traction:
More interestingly though, I think the introduction of CAOA will at least get it out of the way, so to speak. And if you don’t get that interest, and we have the midterms in November… if there’s a change in the Senate, if there’s a change in Congress, and CAOA fails, you may have a situation, or at least I can see it. , a possibility that Chuck Schumer is trying to get what he can (bank reform) at the time.”
Of course, SAFE Banking has passed the House six times before and has never received any traction in the Senate.
