US health dept lets UnitedHealth notify victims of data breach, WSJ reports – ET HealthWorld


London: The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) agreed to allow UnitedHealth Group to notify people whose data was exposed during a hack into their Change health care unit in February, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday.

For months, hospitals and other care providers have urged HHS to shift the reporting burden to UnitedHealth and your unit, since providers lack the money and information to do so.
