After previous videos in which he submitted himself The hard training of Hafthor “Thor” Bjornsson and even was punched in the chest while participating in a sparring sessionYouTuber and bodybuilder Jesse James West recently met up with The Mountain for a different kind of workout. This time, thehe’s taking on the role of trainer, and they both work their way through a classic bodybuilding arm workout.
Throughout training, the former World’s Strongest Man and ten-time Iceland’s Strongest Man talks about his burgeoning boxing career: He’s fresh off his win against fellow strongman turned boxer Eddie Hall, in their long-awaited grudge match. “There are things he could have done better,” says Bjornsson. “But I won, so…”
They warm up first with a light shoulder press, before increasing the weight. “My muscles are cracking because I haven’t lifted weights in a long time,” says Bjornsson, whose boxing training revolved much more around bodyweight exercises.
“I can tell you’re a strong man,” West jokes. “You drop your weights to the ground.”
They follow with sets of cable lateral raises, barbell curls, overhead extensions, and dumbbell lunges. Bjornsson also talks about who inspired him to pursue a career in fitness (his dad) and what kind of music he listens to to stay active while working out. Turns out he’s a “huge Eminem fan.”
They then finish the workout with the most important skill every professional bodybuilder must have: posing.
