“We all have greatness within us,” he says at the beginning of the clip of a new short film by better up (a mental health and coaching company) for which he serves as director of impact. “Mental fitness helps us unlock it. It’s an ongoing practice, where you approach your mind as something to flex, not fix,” he says.

Harry has talked about physical mental health and this clip is yet another example. He talks to two-time Olympic snowboard gold medalist Chloe Kim about the importance of maintaining mental fitness.

Agreeing with the importance of mental health in life, Chloe says, “It would be unrealistic for me to expect to go out there and have an amazing run, learn a new trick if I didn’t feel good mentally.”

“And I can’t expect myself to perform at my best when I doubt myself and feel negative emotions,” she adds.

Not feeling well mentally can also harm physical health. Chloe agrees: “If I don’t feel good mentally, it will jeopardize my physical health and they go hand in hand.” “And so for the last two years, I’ve been prioritizing that, listening to my body, and I’m in a better place,” she adds.

She emphasizes the importance of the mind-body relationship, saying Harry in the interview that little reminders like “I’m doing my best, I’m working very hard, I have to turn around and find a solution to create a positive result” have helped her.

Crediting her coach for helping her through tough times, she says, “So actually, my coach always reminds me to calm down, there’s always tomorrow, but he also acknowledges the progress you’ve made today.” the athlete he had decided not to participate in the 2022-23 season to focus on his mental well-being.
