What is Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome? In which there is no time even to breathe and death happens immediately.

Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome: Every year millions of people around the world die due to heart attack. Cardiac arrest happens when the heart suddenly stops pumping blood to the body. Because of this, breathing stops and there is a lack of oxygen in the brain. Apart from cardiac arrest, there is a disease which is even more dangerous and that disease is ‘Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome’. As the name suggests, this disease does not even give a chance to breathe and the person dies immediately. Every year a large number of people are dying due to this disease.

What is ‘Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome’?

The British Heart Foundation says that Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS) is a dangerous disease in which a person dies suddenly due to cardiac arrest. But the cause of cardiac arrest is not even known. Cases of Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome are increasing in many countries including India. Heart experts say that the most affected by this disease are people below the age of 40 years. This is a disease that affects someone when the electrical signals that coordinate with the heartbeat stop working.

According to Britain’s National Health Service, Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome or problems related to heart rate are faced by more than two million people in Britain. If it is not treated on time, then the person dies. However, there are some conditions, which try to cause some kind of change in the heart, due to which Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome occurs.

How to reduce the risk?

These conditions include different types of cardiomyopathies, which are a group of diseases involving the heart muscle. Because of this, the size, shape and thickness of the heart muscles are affected. They cannot be stopped from happening all the time. However, the risk of this disease can definitely be reduced by paying attention to food, leaving the consumption of alcohol, and bringing blood pressure under control. Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome is often mentioned in the post mortem report when the cause of heart attack is not found in the person who dies.
