The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has alleged that after testing the laddus sent as samples from the Tirumala Tirupati temple in the laboratory, the reports are shocking. The world-famous Tirupati Laddu contains beef tallow, fish oil and other nasty things. The report, upon its release, sparked a controversy between the state and the devotees. The lab report also claims the presence of lard (related to pork fat) in the samples. Samples of Tirupati Laddus were sent to the Gujarat Animal Husbandry Laboratory. The date of receipt of the sample was July 9, 2024 and the lab report was dated July 16.
Lab test report revealed
The report by the centralised private lab NDDB Calf has revealed that the ghee samples used in making Tirupati Laddu contain palm oil and fish oil. including oil, beef tallow and lard (obtained by removing the fatty tissue of pigs). A copy of the report was shared by the spokesperson of the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Anam Venkata Ramana Reddy. Now, the question arises: how harmful is animal fat or beef to the body?
