Are you a fan of wraps? Seemingly lighter alternatives to bread, there is a growing range of wraps in supermarkets with minis, low carb, veg and protein just a few of the varieties you can find.
Relatively processed, a quick glance at the ingredients list will reveal a range of additives used to give the wraps their density, texture and long shelf life, meaning they’re not always a “healthier” alternative to bread.
That said, wraps can also offer whole grains, dietary fiber, and be an easy-to-eat option, especially in lunch boxes.
The key is to match your wrap to your nutritional requirements and look for high-fiber, whole-grain options when possible.
