Nutritional psychiatrist Dr. Uma Naidoo took to Instagram to list nine such foods to fuel your brain and body. Take a look at the post here:
If you struggle with lethargy or fatigue, antioxidant rich foods they can help because they “help improve clarity and fatigue.” Antioxidant-rich foods include dark chocolate, berries, and different types of citrus fruits.
“Foods rich in Omega-3 fatty acids are also great for brain function,” the doctor said. He said that these fatty acids make up most of the brain’s dry weight. Foods rich in Omega-3 fatty acids are nuts, avocados, and shellfish.

avocados
These fruits are a excellent source of lutein that it can “positively influence brain function,” said Dr. Naidoo. You can add them to your diet in the form of smoothies, eat them fresh on toast, in guacamole, etc.
berries
As delicious as they may seem, berries are naturally highly nutritious. They improve mental performance by “increasing blood flow to the brain,” explained Dr. Naidoo.
Dark chocolate
A favorite snack for many and easy to store, dark chocolate can reduce mental fatigue, improve blood flow to the brain and stimulate memory. Take a bite whenever you feel like you’re losing focus.
Eggs
Nature’s multivitamin and as delicious as it sounds, Eggs are possibly the most versatile foods of all time. They help with brain function, coordination, and memory.
Green vegetables
Green vegetables promote better brain function and overall health. Vegetables like bell peppers, cauliflower, green beans, broccoli, and greens like spinach and lettuce contain essential nutrients, fiber, and protein to optimize your brain function.
