“How’s the whole team doing? My name is Noah Ohlsen!”

This is how the new HYBRID Performance Method trainer was introduced.

Of course, he really needed no introduction, Ohlsen has dedicated the last 12 years of his life to the sport of fitness and has qualified for the CrossFit Games 9 years in a row.

“The HYBRID Performance Method team and I go way back,” Ohlsen continued, “from when Stefi Cohen and I were exercise science undergraduates together at the University of Miami in 2012-2013.”

HYBRID Performance Method offers training, nutrition, and education to its athletes and currently offers 8 training programs ranging from powerlifting and bodybuilding to strongman and general fitness (read: CrossFit-style training). Ohlsen joins an all-star group of trainers that includes Stefi Cohen (part-owner of HYBRID), Eddie Hall, Hyden Bowe (part-owner of HYBRID), Hunter Elam, Colleen Fotsch and Simon Chang.

“We’re writing the show together,” Ohlsen shared, “I’m using my experience competing in CrossFit over the last decade to give you an insight into WODs and ways to progress. Of course, they are the experts at writing linear progressions for strength.”

As for coaching, Ohlsen said, “I’m going to be super interactive with all the members.” Among other things, he’ll be participating in the Discord group, answering questions, reviewing members’ videos, and “being there every day and making sure people are heard.” In fact, he has already started.

“I am going to be super interactive with all the members. I’ll jump in there day by day and make sure people are heard.”

Why should someone interested in improving their CrossFit performance subscribe to the HYBRID Performance Method?

According to Ohlsen: “The programming itself, which is probably the most important piece, is very, very well designed. The coaching staff is made up of experts in strength and conditioning and weightlifting and they’re designing everything.”

“And then you get a sense of myself,” Ohlsen said, “an athlete who’s been doing this for… I think I did the math the other day and it’s 300 days times 12 years, so yeah, thousands of days of training. ”

“We will build a community through the HYBRID app with monthly challenges,” he continued, “and I will join the workouts and see if people can beat my times. If you can, you can win prizes and stuff. Let’s make it fun; It will be great.

“I’m excited to collaborate with the minds behind HYBRID.” Ohlsen concludes, “They have some of the best athletes and coaches in powerlifting, weightlifting, and aerobic conditioning.”
