While McDermott would like to have a family one day, at this point she refuses to put any pressure on herself. “My career is my son right now,” she says. “I’m in this good position right now where I have a lot of babies around me and I can get my baby fix. When I was younger, I was like, ‘I’m going to have babies by the time I’m 25, I’m getting married. I really thought that to myself, I always thought I couldn’t wait to be a mother, and now that the time has come, my priorities have changed. I don’t have the time, ability or desire to be a father right now. It will come one day, but I’m not rushing it, you know?

McDermott loves delicious seafood, especially fish like sea bass. “Fish is the number one source of omega-3 fatty acids,” says Julia Zumpano, RD, LD. “To make it more interesting, fish provides two types of omega-3 fatty acids that our bodies need, called EPA and DHA. “Omega-3 improves cardiovascular health at a dose of between 1 and 4 grams per day.
