A pregnant woman has tested positive for Zika virus in Pune. This is the second such case and the sixth overall case of the virus spreading in the city. “A 28-year-old pregnant woman from Erandwane area was detected with Zika virus infection. Her reports came positive on Friday. Another woman, who is 12 weeks pregnant, was detected with the infection on Monday, PTI reported. Zika virus is a mosquito-borne disease that spreads due to the bite of Aedes mosquito that usually bites during the day. Pregnancy is a sensitive time when the mother and child require extra care and caution for everything.
