Practice mindfulness
Being mindful is an essential aspect of self-care. Mindful means being more present and attentive to your actions and surroundings. You can be more observant of the food you eat and the thoughts that go through your mind. You can start with meditative walks in the morning or when you feel stressed or before going to bed, you can close your eyes and count the events of the day and practice gratitude. As you become aware of your activities, you will be more confident and calm throughout the day and more productive.
know your body
As much as we get involved in our work, we ignore the needs of our body, whether physically, mentally or emotionally. When you are stressed, look within for signs. Our inner calls have a way of warning us before we make the wrong decisions or want to draw our attention to something specific.
Just as you will spend time getting to know your body, you will also devise ways to take better care of it. For example, if you feel that your immune system is weak, you can switch to a better diet plan, continue to exercise, and take care of your body in a stimulating way.
Practice the art of affirmations
We often easily forget to give ourselves the credit and affirmations we need to function positively and for our betterment. We look for validations and affirmations from the outside world but more than that we have to make efforts for radical self-acceptance. By reciting your self love, you are reminding yourself of your importance and value in the world. You can start by simply admiring yourself a little more in the mirror or listening to affirming videos that are present online. Whichever path you choose, know that you are doing yourself a favor and taking a step forward to love yourself.
unleash your passion
We’ve all overloaded our lives with work and stressed out about it, long ago we forgot about our interests and passions. Take some time to unleash your passion. There may be something you enjoyed before and you can revisit it now or you may find something completely new and immerse yourself in it. You will find yourself relaxed and surrounded by new positive energy that will add a new perspective to life. Making time for a passion hobby and project will also add meaning to your life and make you more mindful.
Release stress before going to bed
One of the ways to be more relaxed and aware of your life is to release any type of stress or tension that you have accumulated throughout the day. Before going to bed, we can drink hot tea or read a book that will help calm your nerves and release tension from the body. You can read books or listen to guided meditation sessions. You can also talk about your stress with your partner, a friend, or a family member with whom you feel comfortable.
