Last month, I started physical therapy to treat very painful jumper’s knee, also known as patellar tendonitis. During these sometimes intense sessions, my therapist recommends stretching and training I can do at home to maintain my progress and aid recovery. One of these stretches involves the use of a resistance loop to loosen the hamstring and calf muscles.
After finding success using the resistance loop a couple of times at home, I started wondering what other readily available items physical therapists use to help with their own mobility or healing.
