Best Dessert after meal: If breakfast is left, then after lunch and dinner, most people like to eat something sweet (Sweet Dish). However, doing so works to spoil your digestion and disturb the stomach. In Ayurveda, it is strictly forbidden to eat sweets after meals. Especially sweet things made from milk and mawa should not be eaten immediately after the meal.
Ayurveda allows to eat some sweet things and these are all those sweeteners, which work to boost digestion.
1. Mishri and Fennel
If you want to eat sweets immediately after having a meal, then you should consume fennel and sugar candy. But it should not be fennel coat but plain fennel and white pure sugar candy without color. By consuming them, your digestion remains good and problems like gas formation in the stomach, heaviness or burning sensation on the chest are also away.
2. Ghee and Bura
- You can eat one to two spoons of boora with pure desi ghee of cow. It has also been an integral part of our Indian food tradition. Although in today’s time most people have forgotten it. But even today in the villages this tradition is alive to an extent.
- You take one or two spoons of boora and add half to one spoon of pure desi ghee of cow to it and then consume it. If you want, you can also add plain rice to it and make it special. This sweet, eaten after a meal, does not harm the digestive system.
3. Consumption of Jaggery
To sweeten the mouth, you can consume a small amount of jaggery immediately after the meal. By doing this, digestion gets a boost. Taste buds calm down and sweet cravings are also controlled. Also, there is no fear of increasing fat or stomach upset.
