The symptoms of a heart attack vary. Some people have mild symptoms. Others have severe symptoms. Some people have no symptoms.
Common heart attack symptoms include-
- chest pain that feels like pressure, tightness
- pain or discomfort that radiates to the shoulders, arms, back, neck, jaw, teeth, or sometimes the upper abdomen
- cold sweat
- fatigue
- heartburn or indigestion
- dizziness or sudden dizziness
- Nausea
- difficulty breathing

Coronary artery disease is the most common cause of heart attack. In coronary artery disease, one or more heart (coronary) arteries become blocked. This is usually due to the accumulation of cholesterol which is called as plaque. Plaque can constrict the arteries, reducing blood flow to the heart. The stoppage of blood circulation is the main cause of heart attack.
