A study published in the Journal of Neurosurgery found that people who are already infected with COVID are more likely to have a severe stroke. Corona infection may not be mild, but if someone is in the grip of this infection, then there is a possibility of heart attack and brain stroke. Reports suggest that heart-related problems and neurological cases have increased by up to 60%.

Risk of ischemic stroke in Kovid infected: study
Another study conducted by the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis said that people who had the virus were 50% more likely to suffer ischemic stroke. A stroke or a brain attack occurs when the blood flow is interrupted. This ischemic stroke occurs when there is a blockage in the arteries carrying oxygen-rich blood to the brain. A blood clot is formed in the arteries due to which there is no effect of blood to the brain and ischemic stroke occurs. This clot is formed because fat accumulates in the blood vessels.
Chances of Heart Attack from Venous Thromboembolism
Several studies have found that Venous Thromboembolism- a serious type of blood clot is more likely to be seen in COVID-infected patients, which can affect your body’s organs. This is such a serious health problem that you can also have heart attack and stroke. A large research study published in the British Medical Journal followed 54,000 people in the UK over 4 months, finding that those who were infected with COVID were 2.7 times more likely to develop venous thromboembolism. Apart from stroke, Covid affects the brain in many other ways. Complications like memory complaints, depression, anxiety and migraine headaches can also be seen after Covid. Apart from this, there can be many serious problems including movement disorder, problems in seeing and hearing.
