Is there difficulty in stopping urine? These are the 5 reasons, due to which this happens

There are many people in the world for whom holding urine is a very difficult task. It may sound a bit strange, but some people even wet their clothes because of not being able to control urine. The habit of bed-wetting is common in children. But when adults do the same thing, they feel embarrassed. According to a study published in the Journal of Mid-Life Health, this problem is more than 8-45 percent in women. Experts believe that this happens due to excessive stretch or weakness in the muscles responsible for controlling urine.

Why can’t you stop urinating?

Doctors say that when someone’s bladder is weak, he has to face this condition again and again. A normal person goes to toilet about 4-5 times a day, but people with weak bladder go to toilet several times a day. Let us know about those reasons, due to which difficulty is felt in stopping urine.

What are the reasons?

1. Pregnancy: During pregnancy, the pelvic muscles of a woman get stretched a lot. When the pelvic muscles do not support properly, the bladder can become prolapsed. Because of this, a problem called cystocele can arise. Cystocel is a type of disease that affects women. Apart from this, the muscles around the urethra also get affected.

2. Obesity or overweight: If you are overweight or suffering from obesity, then the extra weight of the body can increase the abdominal pressure. Due to which the pressure on the bladder can also increase. Doctors say that abdominal weight can weaken the pelvic floor, due to which it becomes difficult to hold urine.

3. Constipation: If you are suffering from constipation then it may prove difficult for you to hold urine. Doctors say that a large amount of stool in your colon can put pressure on the bladder and prevent it from filling as much as it should.

4. Heavy lifting: According to health experts, excessive exercise and heavy workouts like lifting weights can also weaken your bladder and make it difficult for you to hold urine.

5. Periods: Before periods, your uterus increases its lining and swells due to egg implantation. This change in the uterus can cause pressure on the bladder.
