“Thoughts of suicide, alcohol abuse. I didn’t realize how bad I felt,” says the 46-year-old.

TJ shares that he often walked a lot at night after work because he didn’t want to go home before adding, while laughing, that he memorized everything within a five-mile distance between his home and the office.

He continued: “I was walking back and forth in the middle of the night because I didn’t want to go home. And I would just walk the streets.”

He added: “I can tell you that there is a bank on 14th Street, just west of Union Square, where I have actually slept at night. “He was the best-dressed homeless man you ever saw in your life.”

In the midst of this, TJ credited Amy for pulling him out of the hole of depression. “She sees me deteriorate, she sees me without help, she sees me like no one else saw me.”

“And it became a thing where I was leaving the house to go to the studio, but what I really felt was that I was leaving the house and going home, which was Amy Robach,” she said.
