Its cases are increasing rapidly in the capital Delhi and its associated areas. This disease is spreading especially among school going children. In view of this, advisory has also been issued in some schools of Delhi.

What is this hand, foot and mouth disease and its symptoms?
Children under 5 years of age are more prone to this disease. In this, the child gets fever and starts having blisters in the mouth. With the onset of fever, the child starts having a rash or rash on the hands, feet and mouth. In this, there can be a rash in the joints, palms and soles of the children’s body.

Advisory issued in Delhi schools
An advisory has been issued in Delhi’s junior schools regarding this disease, which states that,
1- The risk of this disease is more for children below the age of 5 years, but this infection can spread in older children too.
2- In such a situation, parents have been advised not to send the child to school when he is ill and get him examined.
3- If the child is infected with HFMD, inform the school about it.
4- Do not send the child to school until he is completely cured.
5- It may take 7 to 10 days to cure this disease. There is currently no vaccine for this disease.

  • Spreads through coughing and sneezing.
  • It is spread through the fluid coming out of the ulcer.
  • It is spread through the saliva of an infected child.
