Diabetes patients should be careful while fasting! Negligence can increase blood sugar level

Can Fasting Raise Blood Sugar: A diabetic patient should take special care of his food and drink. Fasting is not easy for diabetic patients. Due to changes in the diet of such people or due to being hungry for a long time, the problem starts increasing. If diabetic patients stay without eating and drinking for a long time, then the sugar level decreases which is called hypoglycemia. In this condition, the hands and feet of the patient start trembling, weakness is felt and the heartbeat becomes fast. This happens when you do not take insulin and eat more sweet or fried things. If you are a diabetic patient and want to keep fast, then keep these things in mind.

Keep these things in mind while fasting for diabetic patients

1- First of all, you should consult your doctor whether you can fast or not and how to fast.
2- Avoid eating fruit products like chips, snacks or other things found in the market. They contain more salt and sugar.
3- If you have diabetes as well as blood pressure disease, then do not fast without salt.
4- Eat a lot of fruits in diabetes. With this, roast dry fruits like makhana, almonds, walnuts and keep eating them in between.
5- Keep the body hydrated. Keep drinking water or other beverages like buttermilk, lemonade, coconut water throughout the day.
Keep checking your sugar level from time to time on the day of fasting. If sugar is getting more or less, then try to balance it.
