Uses Of Sour Curd: Curd is an essential part of our diet. Some people’s food is not complete without it. Curd can be eaten with all kinds of vegetables, lentils and curries. Although curd is very beneficial for health, but sometimes keeping it at room temperature for a long time makes it sour in taste. The taste of sour curd changes and the smell also becomes very strong. Because of this, it becomes difficult to eat it as it is. However, if you do not like to consume sour curd and do not want to throw it away, then here we are telling you some effective ways in which you can use it easily.

1. Make Chilla: You can use sour curd to make cheela. Cheela can be prepared using different types of flour like gram flour, jowar, semolina, ragi, rajgira and oats etc. Use sour curd instead of water to make batter for cheela. You will feel how delicious the cheela becomes by adding sour curd. Chilla made from sour curd is soft, tasty.

2. Cold Buttermilk: Most people drink buttermilk during summer. Mixing buttermilk with sour curd increases its taste. Green coriander, roasted cumin powder, mint leaves and rock salt along with sour curd work to make buttermilk tasty and also help in digestion.

3. Dhokla: Dhokla are soft and spongy. Using sour curd in Dhokla will help in enhancing its taste. Add eno to the dhokla batter to make it rise properly. The final tempering of mustard seeds, curry leaves and sweet water gives life to this dish.

4. Curry: Kadhi rice combination is very popular in North India. Spinach Kadhi, Kadhi Pakoda, Aloo Kadhi are some of the variants of this tasty dish. Kadhi is usually prepared using gram flour or moong dal along with curd. The curd used to make the curry is kept at room temperature for several hours, so that it turns sour.

5. Face Pack: Sour curd is very beneficial for the skin. The moisturizing effect of curd works to make dry skin soft and smooth. All you have to do is add 2 spoons of sour curd to your regular face pack, like sandalwood face pack, besan face pack, coffee face pack or turmeric face pack etc. Adding curd to the face pack can make your dry skin soft.
