To maintain kidney health, it is often said that one should drink more and more water, so that toxins can help in getting out of the body and kidney remains healthy. Many people consider it good to drink more water. There are some people who are seen consuming more water than required. But is it right to drink more water?

According to a news website, the human body is largely made up of water. About 60 percent of our body is made up of water. We need it in different works. This water helps to remove toxins from the body parts. Transports nutrition to different cells. Lubricates the joints and also helps in digesting food. If you do not drink enough water then the problem of dehydration can arise. Drinking water wisely and in sufficient quantity helps in keeping the kidney healthy. Drinking too much water can lead to overhydration and water intoxication.

Consuming excessive amounts of water can lead to intoxication and obstruction of brain function. This occurs when excess water accumulates in body cells (including brain cells), due to which they swell. When brain cells swell, the pressure on the brain increases. Because of this you may experience symptoms like confusion, headache and drowsiness.
