A fitness trainer has revealed how to make a healthy, homemade version of Nando’s delicious chicken, fries and corn with dipping sauce.
Bec Hardgrave of BrisbaneAustralia shared a video online claiming that his ‘fake’ Nando’s recipe contains only 480 calories per serving, while the real thing has more than 1030.
In the video, she recreated her takeout order of perri-perri fries, chicken strips, corn on the cob and Nando’s Perinaise peri-peri mayonnaise.

Bec Hardgrave, from Brisbane, Australia, shared a video online revealing how to make a homemade version of Nando’s. She claims that her ‘fake’ Nando’s recipe contains only 480 calories per serving.
Buying all the ingredients for Coles, Bec used straight cut chips, peri peri salt, chicken breast, Nando’s Peri Mild Marinade, corn on the cob, LURPAK Lightest butter for the corn, and Perinaise sauce.
Each serving contained 38g of protein, 50g of carbs, and just 13g of fat.
In the video, Bec started by cooking the fries in a deep fryer with peri peri salt and marinating the chicken pieces with Nando’s mild peri-peri sauce.
Buying all the ingredients for Coles, Bec used straight cut chips, peri peri salt, chicken breast, Nando’s Mild Peri Marinade, corn on the cob, lighter LURPAK butter for the corn, and perinaise sauce.
Then, he cooked the chicken in the oven on high heat until it was cooked through and boiled the corn on the cob on the stove.
‘Did you know that a large serving of corn at Nando’s only has 642 calories?’ she wrote.
The end result looked delicious and closely replicated the original takeout.
