Most women are also vulnerable to a cancer. The name is breast cancer. Women need to be aware. Today we are telling about the same breast cancer. How is it, what is prevention and what are the symptoms.
How is breast cancer
Breast cancer is a condition when changes in certain genes cause the breast cells to divide and grow and spread uncontrollably. Generally, cancer forms in the milk-producing glands or ducts of the breast. It carries milk from the glands to the nipple. In some cases the cancer cells may reach the lymph nodes under the arms and spread to different parts of the body. This cancer occurs in men, but it is less likely. It is seen more in women.
Symptoms Of Breast Cancer
The most prominent symptom of breast cancer is a feeling of lump in the breast. Usually this lump does not cause pain. Dirty blood-like fluid starts coming out of the nipple. Gradually there is a change in the size of the breast.
There is a lump or swelling in the underarm and the nipple becomes red. Doctors say that these symptoms can be of some other disease other than breast cancer. You should definitely get tested by showing the doctors.
So much chance of recovery at this stage
The chances of any cancer being cured depends on the stage at which it is. 80 to 85 percent in the first stage and 60-70 percent in the second stage, 30-40 percent in the third stage, the chances of recovery at the last stage are negligible.
What is test and treatment
Mammogram, ultrasound and biopsy are done to check for breast cancer. Only these tests confirm whether the lump is cancerous or not? Whereas the treatment depends on its stage. If detected early, treatment is normal.
By the way, in its treatment, surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, targeted drug therapy and hormonal therapy are used. In the initial stage, there is no need to remove the entire breast in the operation. Later, even if the entire breast had to be removed, it can be reconstructed by plastic surgery.
