Speaking during an appearance at Studio 10 in 2019, he discussed why rapid weight loss is better than slower techniques.

“Scientists have been telling me for some time that it’s best to go on a diet to lose weight quickly and that’s eating 800 calories a day,” he said.

He referenced two large UK studies that examined this with groups of over 300 people.
