Morning or evening… at which time exercise starts reducing weight faster?


Exercise: Different people have different ideas about exercising. Some people like to exercise in the evening, while some people prefer to exercise in the morning. There are some people who exercise in the afternoon because they get time at that time. A research suggests that exercising in the morning proves to be more beneficial than the rest of the day. Evening or afternoon exercise will not burn as much fat as morning exercise.

Researchers from Sweden’s Karolinska Institute and Copenhagen University conducted a study on rats regarding this. In this study, it was found that morning exercise burns fat faster. Research shows that by exercising late in the morning, a person can burn the fat stored in the body faster than in the evening.

Professor Julien Gierth of the Karolinska Institute said that our results suggest that late morning exercise may also prove to be better for boosting metabolism and reducing fat. But late evening exercise will not benefit you that much. If you want to lose weight, then morning exercise can be a good and better solution for you.

Scientists set rats on high-intensity workouts twice a day and studied the effect on their adipose tissue. During this study, they observed which genes were active in adipose tissue. The scientists found that genes that boost metabolism were higher in the morning slot, regardless of the amount of food you ate. However, previous studies suggested that early morning exercise on an empty stomach can help with weight loss and boost energy levels.
