Priyanka Chopra’s brother-in-law has skin cancer, why and how does this disease occur?

Skin cancer: Worrying news comes to us from the family of Priyanka Chopra, who became a world star after her great success in Bollywood. Priyanka’s husband Nick Jonas’ elder brother Kevin Jonas has been diagnosed with skin cancer and is undergoing treatment at the hospital. Nick Jonas’ older brother Kevin Jonas gave an update on his health via his social media from the hospital itself. Kevin uploaded a video on his Instagram and said that he was suffering from skin cancer and had recently undergone surgery for it.

What is basal cell carcinoma?
The skin cancer Kevin suffers from is called basal cell carcinoma. In fact, basal cell carcinoma was found in a wart on Kevin’s head. When this form of skin cancer was detected during an examination, surgery was performed. Basal cell carcinoma is actually a type of skin cancer that begins growing in the basal cells. Basal cells are present just below the top layer of our skin and these cells continue to make new cells in the skin. This cell appears in transparent form under the skin.

Why does basal cell carcinoma appear?
Health experts say prolonged exposure to the sun causes basal cell carcinoma. People who use harmful ultraviolet rays from the sun or tanning beds for a long time are more likely than others to develop skin cancer. If a person stays in the sun for a long time, carcinogenic cells form in the basal cells of their skin.

These warts begin to appear on the skin as bumps or sores. A pink or red bump often appears on the forehead, nose, lower lip, cheeks, neck and ears. Often it looks like a rash in which it begins to itch and a crust forms. Often the wound bursts and blood begins to flow. Even blood cells become visible inside. In many situations, a wart on the face or on the hands and feet can also be a symptom of basal cell carcinoma.
