Immune System: Each vitamin has its own importance. Vitamin A, B, C or any other vitamin strengthens the body’s immune system. Vitamin D is also very important for the body. Its deficiency weakens the immune system. The chances of getting serious diseases become more. At the same time, in a recent study, vitamin D deficiency reduces life expectancy, that is, the risk of early death increases.
Study done on more than 3 lakh people
A recent study showed the importance of vitamin D in the body. A study was published about this in the Annals of Internal Medicine on October 25. Researchers from the Australian Center for Precision Health, Unit of Clinical and Health Sciences, University of South Australia, Adelaide found that vitamin D is also directly related to early death. This study was done on 307601 for 14 years from March 2006 to July 2010. The researchers found that the risk of early death was also increased when participants were more deficient in vitamin D. In the study that lasted for 14 years, about 18,700 people were reported to have died. The study revealed that death was directly linked to vitamin D deficiency. The more vitamin D was deficient. The higher the risk of early death, the greater.
Other problems also occurred
Symptoms of vitamin D deficiency include persistent illness, fatigue, depression, anxiety, mood swings, hair loss, skin rashes, leg pain, muscle cramps.
There should be so much vitamin D in the body
In normal people, vitamin D levels of 50 nmol/L or more are sufficient for bones and the whole body. Whereas 25 nanomoles per liter is extremely low. Vitamin D levels above 125 nmol/L become too high. This condition is called vitamin D toxicity. According to the researchers, the low levels of vitamin D in the people involved in the research were less than 25 nanomoles per liter (nmol/L), while the average was only 45.2 nmol/L.
