Urvashi Upadhyay: Becoming a plant parent helped me take care of my mental health during the peak of the pandemic – Times of India

In the last two years due to the pandemic, people have become more aware of mental health and its importance. They have been doing different things to stay happy and positive. Actress Urvashi Upadhyaywho started working in the garden during confinement, is becoming more passionate every day.

“Everyone needs fresh air and a healthy environment. After all, that is the fuel for creativity and passion! I learned this the hard way, and according to me, exposure to nature and greenery is great for our health and mental well-being. But most of us live hectic 9 to 5 lives where we barely find time to breathe. Where is the time to get out and reconnect with nature? Therefore, I planned to bring nature home through gardening,” she says.

He further adds, “Although many of my friends are avid gardeners, before I couldn’t understand what motivated them to dig in the dirt and plant flowers, fruits and vegetables when everything is readily available in stores. She often questioned their inspiration and asked them to share their sayings and wisdom from the garden. During the pandemic, when I felt inspired enough, I planted some tomatoes, marigolds, and other flowers. I didn’t expect them to grow, but I was glad I had spent some time reconnecting with nature, which was good for my health and mental well-being. My excitement went through the roof when some things I planted grew! And now I spend my free time with my plants that are like my babies.”

On the labor front, his show Thapki Pyaar Ki 2 It recently went off the air. He misses the Thapki team and being a part of the show. “Until now, I was acting as an antagonist, but with Thapki2 I had a new opportunity to do some comedy. It was fun. My dialogues became a trend on social networks. Now that the show has gone off the air, I’m a little sad about it. But I am sure that God has good plans for me and for the whole team,” she says.
