You must be feeling funny to hear this. But in a study it has been claimed that hunger can be eradicated even by looking at the photo of food. According to a study published in a journal called ‘Appetite’, the more often you see pictures of food, the more your appetite goes away.

Viewing photo more than 30 times will give benefit

The author of this study, Jark Anderson, said that according to the results of this research, the participants who saw the photo of food more than 30 times felt more full in their stomach. During this study, people who had seen the picture of food many times, they took less food to eat. People involved in this study were feeling full without eating anything.

You can get real response just by imagining

According to Aarhus University, you can better understand the results of this study with ‘Grounded Cognition Theory’ in brain research. Imagine that you are eating a slice of raw mango after sprinkling a little chilli and salt on it. Just by imagining you will feel that you are really eating raw mango. Jark Anderson said that even by imagining the food, you will get the same response, which you get by actually eating it. This is the reason why you can feel full even just by looking at the photo of the food.
