Four stages of breast cancer
first step
At this stage, the cancer is small and located in the breast tissue. At this point, treatment can be carried out easily and the patient’s chance of recovery is 90 percent.
second stage
Breast cancer is usually detected in the second stage. At this stage, the cancer spreads to lymph nodes outside of the breast tissue. Treatment can be carried out at this time and the patient’s chance of recovery is 80 percent.
third step
This is an advanced stage of breast cancer. At this point, in addition to the breast tissue, the cancer has spread to 10 lymph nodes. At this stage, the doctor must decide which method will be most suitable for treatment. The patient’s chance of recovery is 60 to 70 percent.
fourth step
This is the last stage of breast cancer, where the disease spreads beyond the lymph nodes and reaches the lungs and bones. At this stage, patients’ chances of survival are 40 percent.
Treatment of third stage breast cancer
Chemotherapy
After chemotherapy, breast-conserving surgery or a mastectomy is necessary. Breast reconstruction can be performed after a mastectomy. After the operation, the patient receives hormonal treatment and medications to strengthen the bones.

With its help, cancer cells can be prevented from growing around the breast and they are eliminated.
hormonal therapy
Hormone therapy is used in hormone receptor-positive cancers. With the help of this therapy, it helps in maintaining the balance of estrogen hormone in the body.
