Here is a list of herbs and spices that can help improve your cholesterol

  • Amla can be drunk as a juice or powder. Also good in tablet or fruit form.
  • Cumin, coriander and anise can be taken as CCF tea. Anise and cumin can also be taken as mouth freshener / ayurvedic mask (after meal).
  • Garlic (1 clove of garlic) can be eaten on an empty stomach (helps lower BP with cholesterol).
  • Lemon / vinegar can be taken in warm water on an empty stomach or 1 hour after a meal (whichever suits you).
  • Fresh ginger can be grated in your herbal tea and drunk once / twice a day. Dried ginger powder can be taken with honey in the morning or boiled in water and drunk all day long.
  • Arjuna herbs are best for the heart. Its bark (Arjun chal) can be drunk in milk as Arjuna tea at bedtime or Arjun chal can be drunk in the morning as a mixture. Arjun tablet can also be taken daily.
