Potassium In Food: Along with vitamins, minerals are also necessary to keep the body healthy. Potassium is also an essential mineral and electrolyte. Potassium helps to maintain and normalize blood pressure and helps in delivering nutrients to the cells. Potassium helps in the functioning of muscles and nerves. To keep the body healthy, 4,700 mg of potassium is needed daily. By including some things rich in potassium in the diet, you can make up for its deficiency. These are foods rich in potassium.
1- Banana- A lot of potassium is found in banana. A medium-sized banana contains 422 mg or 9% of potassium. You must eat at least 1-2 bananas daily. This helps in controlling blood pressure.

3- Pomegranate- The deficiency of potassium can also be fulfilled by eating pomegranate. Eating 1 pomegranate daily gives 666 mg of potassium. Vitamin C, vitamin K and folate are also found in pomegranate. Pomegranate is also rich in protein and iron. Pomegranate is rich in fiber, which keeps the stomach full for a long time.
4- Sweet potato- Sweet potato tastes delicious to eat. Sweet potato is a good source of potassium. 541 mg of potassium is found in 1 medium sized sweet potato. Sweet potatoes are very low in fat and high in protein. It is a good source of fiber and vitamin A.
5- Spinach- Potassium is found in spinach the most among vegetables. 540 mg of potassium is found in 1 cup of spinach. Spinach contains 366% vitamin A, 57% vitamin K, 57% folate and 29% magnesium. Make sure to include spinach in the diet. This helps in fulfilling the iron deficiency.
