The companies out there are constantly touting that their product is the product to help you lose weight fast. If they are all trying to sell the same message, how do you know who is right?
The following 5 tips should help:
1. First of all, everyone is different, and the rate at which you lose weight will depend more on your genetics than if you follow a particular program, rather than the program itself in most cases. Beware of companies that claim they can do miracles. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
2. You should rid your diet of processed foods, trans fats, and soda (among other things). Eat proteins (meat, fish, chicken, eggs, etc.), fruits and vegetables, and complex carbohydrates. Your diet is extremely important and if you are not ready to start eating healthy, you will not get the desired results.
3. Eat 5 to 6 times a day. This will help in boosting your metabolism. Never, ever starve yourself or skip meals – especially breakfast. Why? Because it will lower your metabolism and therefore teach your body to store fat. You want to lose weight don’t you?
4. Exercise! Any weight loss program that suggests you don’t need to exercise to lose weight is lying to you! If you want to lose weight and maintain it, you should exercise, although it is not all bad, as I will talk about in the next point.
5. Your exercise program should consist of the following: 15 minutes of resistance training, 3 times a week and 15 minutes of interval training, 3 times a week. The reason they do this is to boost your metabolism and keep it up for more than 24 hours at a time. The higher your metabolism, the more calories your body burns, helping you lose weight.
So when you are looking for a good weight loss program, consider the above mentioned points. It’ll save you a lot of heartache and you’ll finally get the body you’ve been dreaming about.
