What is the best diet to lose weight and fat?

We’ve all heard of those fad diets like the grapefruit diet or the apple diet. I am here to tell you such diets that work. All those diets are fad, crash, “stupid” diets. A real diet consists of a mix of muscle-building protein, energy-filling carbs and healthy fats for your heart.

To lose weight, ketosis is the best diet and it is not a fad. In a keto diet, a lot of protein and fat and little carbohydrate are eaten to bring the body into a state of ketosis. Since you no longer have glycogen in your body, lacking carbohydrates, your body will create ketone bodies from your fat tissue to fuel your body and brain. As long as you’re eating enough protein, you’ll maintain your muscle mass and easily lose pounds of fat.

Getting into ketosis takes about 3-7 days, depending on your current glycogen storage. Ketosis seems strange at first because you will be lethargic and may experience headaches and even nausea. However, these symptoms go away. You will also lose weight first because of water weight.

Typical foods on the keto diet include nuts, whey protein, eggs, bacon, sausage, olive oil, butter, salmon, etc.; Anything that has high amounts of protein and fat and no carbs. The keto diet often involves taking a vitamin pill because you can’t eat as many vegetables. (Though you can have at least one bowl of salad)

It takes a lot of willpower to stick to keto because once you cheat or eat something bad, your body will go out of ketosis. The process which used to take 3-7 days will now have to be done again.
