Burning calories and losing weight can be fun with Wii Fit!

The Nintendo Wii Fit sold over 770,000 copies in January 2009. Why was Wii Fit the most popular video game? The game surpasses all Xbox or PS 3 games combined. Why Are Exercise Video Games The Most Popular Game In The World? Typically, the most popular games are shoot-em up games, like the ones the Xbox and PS3 primarily deliver. But for Nintendo Wii it is an exercise game. Fitness games are so popular because it makes exercise more enjoyable. I was generally not interested in video games – I never played them, until the Nintendo Wii was introduced. The many sports games and fitness games used by the Nintendo Wii add to the fun of the game. I like to use Tiger Woods Golf, Wii Sports, Top Spin 3, etc. These are all games that I play regularly.

Wii Fit really makes exercise fun. It turns exercise into an enjoyable sport. It stands to reason that many hospitals are using this Nintendo Wii game to rehabilitate stroke victims because it is more enjoyable than the traditional form of rehabilitation. These patients are able to respond quickly to changes in their center of balance and they really enjoy playing the mini-games. Many patients will spend much of their allotted time playing the mini-games.

Nintendo Wii Fit includes aerobics workouts, yoga exercises, strength training, and balance mini-games. I mostly do aerobic workouts. I’ll do some yoga to calm down. The balance mini-games are really entertaining, but I don’t really believe that they contribute to as good a calorie burning workout as aerobics exercises. I’ll play mini games with my step kids, because those are the only games they’re attracted to.

What Does Building Muscle Mass Mean?

I believe the main reason Nintendo Wii Fit is truly excellent is that it makes exercise more enjoyable. Compare playing this game to working out for half an hour in a deserted gym or working out in the luxury of your own living room. There’s no comparison between Wii Fit and the hard work of working out at the gym. I can watch TV even when I am jogging.
